State Department for Co-operatives Principal Secretary, Mr. Patrick Kilemi was a panellist today in the discussion of the transformation of Agri-food systems towards sustainable and resilient livelihoods.
In attendance was the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Agriculture and livestock development, Hon. Mithika Linturi, Hon Adan Haji, Chair Kenya Parliamentary Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition Caucus( KPA FSN), Hon. Joshua Irungu Laikipia Governor, Ms. Mariatu Kamara Country Director International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) , among other delegates who graced the occasion.
PS Kilemi talked about the complementary role of Agriculture and SMEs in promoting rural development in Kenya under the bottom-up approach.
